I am a traveler, photographer, naturalist, and writer.
I am aware. Of land and water. Of light and the story it’s sharing. Of people, and of the small, easily overlooked moments that make up a day. I’m drawn to lonely places where time moves differently and patience is rewarded.
I’ve stepped off the merry-go-round of the modern American urgency to “succeed”. I move more slowly now, by choice. I value quiet observation, unhurried conversation, and the kind of curiosity that has more to do with contemplation than accomplishment.
Much of my time is spent outdoors. Learning the character of a place by returning to it. I’m interested in the human world as much as the wild one, especially where the two overlap. I believe awareness is a form of respect.
This site is where I share what I notice. Stories told through photographs, prose, and occasional paintings. Some are small. Some are old. Some arrive unexpectedly and ask to be passed on to those who would appreciate it.
If this resonates with you; if this sounds better than network news and doom scrolling, you’re are welcome here!
